2016 Poverty Guidelines Published -Income Limits Next???

On January 25, the Department of Health and Human Services(HHS) published the 2016 poverty guidelines in the Federal Register (81 FR 4036)for the 48 contiguous states, the District of Columbia, Alaska and Hawaii.

These figures are used by HUD to determine theExtremelyLow-Income (ELI) limits. This year, release of the new 2016 Income Limits hasbeen delayed because HUD cannot determine the ELI limit without obtaining theHHS poverty guidelines.

Now that these figures have been released by HHS, it isexpected the 2016 Income Limits will be published sometime between now andmid-March.

Keep your eyes and earsopen!! We will send a follow up HUDBlast as soon as we learn the 2016 IncomeLimits have been released.
