TRACS 2.0.3A Release Delayed

The Tenant Rental Assistance Certification System (TRACS) Release 2.0.3A has been delayed to 2018.
HUD originally planned to begin implementation on August 1, 2017 and complete the rollout on October 31, 2017.
The new 2.0.3A release dates are now:

  • On Feb. 1, 2018, TRACS version 2.0.3.A Implementation begins (TRACS will accept both 2.0.2D transmissions and 2.0.3A transmissions).
  • The deadline to complete implementation of 2.0.3A will be May 31, 2018.
  • Starting June 1, 2018, TRACS will only accept 2.0.3A transmissions.

TRACS 2.0.3A will provide owner/agents with great new features which include improving the submission process for the RAD program, introducing a subsidy suspension feature, adding special features to improve reporting for foster children/adults, and improving reporting of residents who have entered in to repayment agreements.
TRACS 2.0.3A will also introduce a new Coordinator/User Certification module to improve security of TRACS data.
Owner/agents will be responsible for gathering new information necessary to successfully convert to 2.0.3A, but will have additional time to do so. This delay also allows the Office of Management & Budget to complete the review of new forms used to track repayment agreements and to track funds deposited into escrow accounts for those residents participating in the Family Self Sufficiency program (FSS).
