Every year Mary evaluates new HUD guidance and designs a class curriculum guaranteed to provide you with information about the changes and the best way to incorporate those changes in to your policies and procedures.
For the remainder of 2019, Day 1 of the HUD TODAY 2019 training – we will start the day discussing changes expected in 2019/2020 and how to best plan for those changes. This includes a review of HUD’s new Streamlined Verification, HUD’s plans for ESignature/EStorage, the proposed Noncitizen Eligibility Rule, HUD’s Sexual Harassment in Housing Initiative and much more. In the afternoon we will discuss common findings issued during the Management and Occupancy Review (MOR). This will include information about required updates to your TSP, a review of EIV requirements including an in-depth review of EIV Income Discrepancies and a review of VAWA forms distribution requirements.
On Day 2, we will start the day with a discussion explaining TRACS including a review of TRACS reports how you can use them to better monitor your property.
At the end of the day, we are going to try something new. The last session of the day is called “Beyond the Handbook”. We will review commonly asked questions and will take questions before or during the class as time permits.
This training event allows you to obtain new information. But just as important is the opportunity to network with Mary and other industry stakeholders including other property management professionals, contract administrators and sometimes even local HUD staff. Before, during and after class, there is always opportunity to meet new people.
Join us for two days to discuss current practices, best practices, upcoming changes and how to improve internal compliance processes.
This class will provide you and your team with the most up-to-date information available in the industry. Training includes sample forms, notices and checklists.
