HUD Seeks Your Comments As They Update the Section 8 Renewal Guide 
Act Now If You Want to Provide Suggestions/Comments

A revised draft of Chapter 9 of the Section 8 Renewal Policy Guidebook, Rent Comparability Studies, was posted to the Multifamily Policy Drafting Table on April 21, 2022. 

HUD is seeking industry partner feedback on this document as they work to ensure that HAP contract rents accurately reflect market rental values. The draft chapter, along with a redline version and a worksheet to record feedback, can be found here. All feedback should be e-mailed to S8RPG@hud.gov

In order to ensure that stakeholders have an opportunity to express feedback regarding this draft guidance, HUD has scheduled a live listening session for Friday, May 20, 2022 from 12:00 – 1:30 PM EDT. 

We strongly encourage owner/agents who would like to share thoughts on the chapter to attend this session which is hosted by HUD. 

Three-minute speaking slots will be available, with a limit of one speaking slot per participating organization. Please note that speaking slots will be provided in the order that they are requested during pre-registration.
