HUD Today 2023

As many of you know, Mary Ross officially semi-retired back in February 2022. But, just like the famous quote from Michael Corleone in Godfather 2, “Just when I thought I was out...they pull me back in!” Mary is back with her latest addition of HUD Today 2023!  

This comprehensive training course, delivered over five days, includes HOTMA, TRACS 2.0.3.A and our popular Beyond the Handbook training. 

Mary has continued to stay involved in certain HUD efforts including supporting existing RAD customers and continuing to work with HUD’s Industry Working Group for TRACS 2.0.3.A and the implementation of HOTMA.

In February, HUD released the Final Rule Housing Opportunity Through Modernization Act of 2016 (HOTMA) announcing the long-awaited implementation of HOTMA changes. Implementation of these changes will dramatically alter current site operations. Our training is NOT an “overview” but a “how to” prepare for and implement these changes. 

HOTMA has introduced:

  • Changes to Eligibility Based On Total Cash Value of Assets and Home Ownership;
  • Changes to Income Inclusions & Exclusions;
  • Changes to Income Verification;
  • Changes to Asset Inclusions and Exclusions;
  • Changes to Asset Verification;
  • Changes to Determining Income From Assets;
  • Changes to deductions including: Dependent Deduction, Childcare Deduction, Disability Assistance Expense Deduction, Elderly/Disabled Family Deduction, and Medical Expense Deduction.
  • Changes to the Interim Recertification requirements;
  • Changes to Interim Recertification Requirements;
  • Changes to EIV Reporting Requirements;
  • And Changes to Other Occupancy Rules. 

But wait…there’s more! As part of the HUD Today 2023 Online Training, Mary will also cover the soon-to-be-released TRACS version 2.0.3.A. TRACS 2.0.3.A introduces:

  • Changes to the 50059 and 50059A;
